Surprise Lake Camp is blessed with incredible natural beauty. Located only 60 miles from New York City the camp sits on nearly 500 beautiful acres surrounding a private, half-mile long lake. The site offers kosher catering, meeting facilities, a 1000-seat amphitheater, sports fields, and overnight accommodations. We have staff available to run programs including low ropes challenge course, climbing tower, hikes, Jewish environmental education programs, arts & crafts, and much more. Our beautiful, full-size gymnasium is the perfect place to hold sporting events throughout the year.

 

The months of April, May, June, September and October are particularly beautiful times at camp. For those who don't mind roughing it a little, winter dates can be made available for certain groups.

 

Surprise Lake Camp can accommodate groups of various sizes for single or multi day programs, depending on the time of year. Housing accommodations vary based on group size and preferences.
