The Surprise Lake Camp Alumni Association is very active and currently has over 800 members with a database of over 6,000 names. The purpose of the Association is to assist camp in providing scholarships, enriching and expanding programs and continuing a long-lasting relationship between Surprise Lake Camp and the Associations members.

The Association hosts Alumni Days at camp, produces a newsletter four times a year, runs reunions, sponsors a variety of fundraising auctions and events, and runs an annual scholarship fundraising campaign. 

The Alumni Association is only as strong as it members make it.  While many of us are Lifetime Members or pay our dues annually, there are hundreds of us who have never been members or who have let our memberships lapse.  In honor of the Surprise Lake Camp Alumni Association's 50th Anniversary in 2011, we are asking all alumni who are not current members of the Alumni Association to become members.  Membership dues are $36 per year or $250 to become a Lifetime Member.  Between now and Alumni Day, the goal is to add 50 new members and raise $5000 for the Alumni Association.  Please consider becoming a member now or bring your dues with you on Alumni Day.  If you are already a member, a donation to the Alumni Association on Alumni Day is a great way to say thank you to camp for hosting us on this special occasion.  

 

Remember, while there are many benefits to being a member (Re-Echoes, discounts, special events), the most important benefit is knowing that you have given your support to a very special place that continues to provide a safe, fun, and rewarding experience to hundreds of children each summer.
