Trips and Special Events

Campers at SLC experience a steady stream of special programs, including activities like Olympics, Carnival, Israeli Day, sports tournaments, parties, and celebrations. 

In addition, everyone goes on trips out of camp.  The youngest campers, up to age 10, go on one trip in a four week session.  As campers get older, the trips get more extensive and more plentiful.  10 to 12 year olds have an additional mystery bus ride each session (we can't tell you where that trip goes because it would ruin the mystery!). 

Teens go on at least two trips every four weeks:  one that all of teenside goes on together, one that is a mystery bus ride, and one that is related to their specialty.  Specialty trips can range anywhere from an overnight rafting trip on the Delaware river to a minor league baseball game.  In addition, our oldest teen units go on a three day trip during our second session in which they get they get to spend two nights away from camp, an experience which is always one of the highlights of their summer.
